No, suckering reduces branches which reduces blooms which reduces fruit production.

No, pinching first blooms reduces some stress but if you are watering and fertilizing plants as needed, they want be under any stress and you are just eliminating future tomatoes.

6 hours is the minimum but 8 or more is ideal.
